What’s Going On?

Weekly Bulletin for the Week of Sunday, August 3, 2025

Beloved Members and Friends of St. Patrick,

Thanks to our members, catechumens and visitors who came out this past weekend.  We continue to hold services at 547 Newnan Street. There’s parking in the back and at the law office to the right.

Father Tom is back this week, so we will again serve Divine Liturgy after Matins on Sunday.  If you are an Orthodox Christian and need to go to confession, Fr. Tom will be available Saturday evening, after Vespers, to hear your confession.

Catechism class continues Saturday. We will resume our discussion of the Holy Scriptures with the Epistles of St. John and St. Jude.  All are welcome — please invite your friends! Feel free to read ahead here:

Following that we will have Great Vespers at 6:00 Saturday, then Matins at 9:00 Sunday morning followed by the Divine Liturgy with Holy Communion led by Fr. Tom.  The feast this week is the 8th Sunday after Pentecost, and we commemorate the Venerable Isaac, Dalmatus, and Faustus, Ascetics of the Dalmatian Monastery at Constantinople.

Please note the Dormition Fast begins this Friday, August 1, 2025.

You may read more about fasting here:

We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

The Greeks… led us to the edifices where they worship their God, and we knew not whether we were in heaven or on earth. For on earth there is no such splendor or such beauty, and we are at a loss how to describe it. We only know that God dwells there among men… For we cannot forget that beauty.
